CONCEPT

Effugium is an interactive art installation that seeks to make the emotional dimensions of fleeing one’s homeland perceptible. Using light, sound and media technology, we create an immersive experience that approaches feelings of uncertainty, hope, loss, and disorientation — emotions often experienced by people forced to leave their countries in search of safety.

 

We are fully aware that we can only attempt to imagine what such a journey truly feels like. Effugium does not claim to reproduce these realities, but rather aims to offer a space for reflection, empathy, and understanding. It is a sensory and artistic exploration — an invitation to come closer to the human side of displacement.
