EnPerspectiva

CONCEPT

EnPerspectiva explores the relationship between humans and machines. It leverages paradigms in human-computer interaction, using our extended organs of perception to amplify the connection between viewers and the audiovisual entity creating an immersive and vivid experience that adapts to the space, leaning into the effects of total light isolation and the notion of “tunnel” or deep perspective. The volumetric walls surround the viewer while the central totem takes on a complementary narrative property.

The installation is comprised of 12 Dragon Volumetric LED modules on each side wall, combining heights of 2 and 3 meters. At the center stands a 3 meter high totem, consisting of 11 Dragon modules. In the side walls, the volumetric format is used to create sensations and distortions in perspective. The viewer has the constant sensation of being in a vehicle that travels through all three dimensions.

The central totem is synchronized with this motion. When the tunnel comes to a “halt”, the central totem takes on narrative properties while giving the viewer the sensation of having arrived at a station. After a few seconds, the journey continues and the movement of all the elements come alive again. Speed control and its relationship with color and light intensity are factors that are taken into account in the creation and automation of content.

Sound is an essential element of the experience and is distributed evenly in the space. It integrates the concept of “deep perspective” reinforcing the sensation of movement within the tunnel. The spatialization of sound is based on the perspective of space and the movement of light. Three sound compositions will be displayed through the immersive audio installation coordinated with the narrative of the central totem and the events and eventual appearances therein. It evidences the synaesthetic conception of the installation and accentuates the visual volumetry.

The seamless integration of sensors in our smartphones allows us to effortlessly tap into our augmented senses and use them at our will. However, these extended senses often operate in the background, being active without us being aware. Capturing, motion, speed, pressure, proximity, temperature, light, data.

EnPerspectiva, explores the expression and integration of these sensors within the immersive experience. It collects the data and transforms it into audiovisual consequences in real time where the viewer has a subtle awareness that one’s actions are producing the experience on a personal and collective level.

Rish x LedPulse x Omni Soundlab x Symbiotism

Sharing this ethos: Rish, LedPulse, Omni Soundlab and  Symbiotism embark on a collective research endeavor to explore the evolving nature between humans and machines. Leveraging new media technologies; volumetric displays, immersive audio, and state-of-the-art sensor systems in dynamic environments that challenge the perception of three-dimensional data across space-time.

RISH

Occupying the nexus between art and scientific research, Rish is an interdisciplinary artist based in Paris with a focus on Computational Media Arts and Design Systems.

His work unfolds at the convergence of Machine Intelligence, Neuroscience, and Human-Computer Interaction. Through the lens of art, Rish seeks to understand our evolving symbiosis with technology to transform spaces into humane dynamic mediums, allowing individuals to immerse themselves in interactive media narratives.

He aims to delve deeper into questions about Humanity’s relationship with technology, one which is not bound by traditional media like screens but one; where it becomes invisible.

Rish envisions computation as a unifying, invisible fabric that connects everyone, and aspires to craft novel Human-Machine Experiences for our future.

LedPulse is on a visionary journey to redefine the traditional concept of creation and expression. Blending technology, science, art, and human connection into a unique format, LedPulse’s Volumetric LED Display, The Dragon, represents a leap in digital new media art.

Unlike conventional displays, The Dragon is a format that brings art and data to life in three dimensions powered by LedPulse’s patented Neuronal LED technology. It adapts and evolves collectively, much like the human brain.

LedPulse pioneers not only technological advancements but also a novel form of collective expression — a universal language that evolves in real-time through contributions from a global community, paving a new era of collective creation and digital evolution.
