Adapted exclusively from a series of award-winning 360° dome-films for the unique environment of Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig, Hidden Worlds goes beyond spectacle — offering audiences a chance to explore, reflect, and immerse themselves in unseen realms of existence.
This curated selection of five immersive works transforms complex scientific concepts like quantum mechanics and time into stunning metaphorical landscapes.
Using a unique multimedia language, the artists dissolve the boundaries of the physical space, inviting you to question reality and contemplate the invisible layers of the world. Experience a captivating fusion of sound and image that provides an open space for feeling and imagination.
ARTISTS
Rocco Helmchen and Johannes Kraas
Since 2009 the creative duo Rocco Helmchen and Johannes Kraas have collaborated on most of their projects.
Their main focus lies in the creation of immersive experiences for dome theaters and planetariums looking for a balance between art, science and entertainment.
In this field they realized numerous projects ranging from planetarium feature shows and timelapse travelogs over image shows for companies to experimental art projects.
The two artists have especially emphasized on the perfect symbiosis of visuals and music in various forms of immersive media like fulldome, VR and immersive video installations.
From their 1st dome show „tempus.ruhr“ to the multi award winning piece “undetermined outcome“ and their last feature show „Impossible Space“, their works have been presented all around the globe at festivals, planetariums, dome theatres, immersive industrial spaces, casinos and even churches.
