VAJD

CONCEPT

VAJD, rooted in the Arabic tri-letter root wa-ja-da [to find] and derived from “ecstasy,” synthesizes generative art, music, and storytelling inspired by global mystical traditions into an immersive exploration of ecstatic spiritual experience.

Inspired by Persian calligraphy and mystical philosophies the artwork merges traditional artistic forms with contemporary digital mediums, exploring themes of unity and non-dualism to transcend the politics of ‘othering’.

From Samaa and Nirvana, ecstatic states of rituals, dance, and music across Aboriginal cultures, the show fosters reflection on interconnectedness and challenges divisive ideologies.
