WAVES
The piece is an attempt to create a new and intensified reality. Soundwaves and lightwaves are closely interwoven, every sound has an impact on the visual. Almost like the perceptual phenomenon of synesthesia the music seems to create and manipulate shapes, colors, light and shadow. By extending the view and dissolving the walls and floor „Waves“ immerses the audience and opens up a three minute view into an abstract, yet colorful world beyond.
ROCCO HELMCHEN AND JOHANNES KRAAS
Since 2009 the creative duo Rocco Helmchen and Johannes Kraas have collaborated on most of their projects. From video art to VR and 360°-fulldome films, the two artists have especially emphasized on the symbiosis of visuals and music in various forms of immersive media art.
From their 1st show „tempus.ruhr“ to the recently finished „Flow – Visions of Time“, their works have been presented at festival venues, planetariums, casinos and even churches all around the world.
