SVEN SAUER - Exponentiell

Exponentiell

LIGHT & SOUND

CONCEPT

Dealing with exponential numbers is difficult. Perhaps because our lives are linear? These numbers seem insignificant but have gigantic consequences. They are not necessarily always negative, but they also go in the opposite direction.
The installation shows, in real time, the irretrievable extinction of a species on our planet in the year 2035. The work addresses the problem of understanding processes that lie outside our linear understanding of time. Exponential numbers only become comprehensible to us when we look at them from the future.
Beginning with the fact that a life form dies out on our planet every 9.6 minutes at present, Sven Sauer continues this process in a mathematically sober manner and creates a view of what this development could look like in 2035.

SVEN SAUER

Sven Sauer is a Berlin based artist. Focusing on the connection between social movements and local structures in megacities, his mostly audiovisual installations expose symptoms of society and show the pace of our development-orientated technology, which seems to have overwhelmed the human capacity for absorption. He usually does not express a firm opinion but rather leads viewers to question their own point of view.
Cofounder of the art collective ‘360 minutes art’, from 2016, he also created large exhibitions and art festivals in Berlin with the groups ‘The Dark Rooms Exhibition’ and ‘Wir im Raum’. His work also range through the theatre and to the VFX, working on international film productions – such as ‘AtomicBlonde’, ‘Hugo Cabret’ and ‘Game of Thrones’.

Radiante - Verge

VERGE

LIGHT & SOUND

CONCEPT

“Verge,” the latest audiovisual installation by Radiante, transforms immersive spaces into a sensory journey at the boundary where the familiar fades into the unknown. It explores the enigmatic realm where intuition is vividly felt yet remains undefined. Combining laser lights, digital LEDs, robotics, atmospheric particles, and immersive video projections, the installation creates a mesmerizing experience that blurs the line between perception and mystery.

LUNAR OSCILLATIONS

LIGHT & KINETIC

CONCEPT

This ‘site-specific’ light and sound installation is inspired by the moon’s influence on the seas and oceans and on living beings. By transforming the space with a moving set of lights and shadows, it explores the sensations that an individual can experience; a kinetic light and sound contemplative intervention about the perception of a variable environment, a universe of stars and dynamic moons.

Samuele Barretta - Luce Disco - Ideale

LUCE DISCO - IDEALE

LIGHT & SOUND

CONCEPT

Luce Disco-Ideale explores the dynamic relationship between electronic music and club lighting, merging mirror balls, beams, and electronic sounds to craft a fully immersive, multi-sensory environment. Upon entering a darkened room filled with fog, you’ll find yourself surrounded by scattered reflections from mirror balls, casting faint points of light that create a subtle sense of disorientation. As the music gradually intensifies, so do the lights, with moving beams cutting through the fog like lasers, shaping a surreal, parallel reality.
This fusion of light and electronic sound transcends aesthetics, evolving into a unified art form that transforms how space and reality are perceived.

ARTIST

Samuele Barretta

Samuele Barretta’s relationship with light is deeply intimate and personal. Drawing from club culture technologies, he creates immersive light and sound artworks that blend cutting-edge tools with everyday elements like home light bulbs. His installations often reflect the darker, more introspective aspects of his personality, but are equally capable of erupting into vibrant, blinding energy displays.
Electronic music serves as the universal language he communicates, merging sound and light into multi-sensory experiences that invite audiences to explore new ways of perceiving emotion and space.

The Fake Factory - IN THE FLOW

IN THE FLOW

IMMERSIVE ART SHOW

CONCEPT

What it feels like to be immersed within the flow a computer-generated form of art?
One of the characteristics of immersive digital art is dynamism, vitality, being made up of a seamless flow of data, which generate different shapes, colours, symbols and meanings. The generative algorithms of digital art seem to reproduce the same patterns that nature itself generates.
So a set of numerical and mathematical calculations becomes a flow that we humans perceive as sea waves. The border between reality and illusion becomes very thin. The solution is to let go and become part of the flow ourselves.
To fully experience immersive digital art, the visitor must open their senses and let themselves go, until they get lost in the flow.

France Jobin & Markus Heckmann - ENTANGLEMENT

ENTANGLEMENT

CONCEPT

By delving into the profound realm of quantum physics and artistic performance, this multi-work project daringly fuses scientific inquiry and creative vision.

Inspired by the intricate theories of quantum entanglement, notably the Copenhagen interpretation and the multiverse (quantum decoherence) the project is further enriched – and challenged – by exploring the fluidity of time and the enigmatic principle of quantum entanglement.

In its fourth version/iteration Entanglement invites you to lose yourselves in this boundless expanse of creativity, where the borders between reality and imagination dissolve, leaving them suspended in time and in a state of wonder.

Since the mid-1990s, she has crafted meticulous compositions at the intersection of analog and digital. Her installations follow a parallel route, integrating musical and visual elements inspired by the architecture of diverse locations. Markus Heckmann
The media artist Markus Heckmann studied media technology at the TU Ilmenau and the Bauhaus University Weimar, before he started work as Technical Director for Derivative (Toronto, Canada) in 2006. In this capacity, Heckmann is primarily engaged in product development, technical support, outreach, and education.
In his artistic work he combines the aesthetics of generative computer graphics with the physical properties of light. For his media performances Heckmann uses Derivative’s software TouchDesigner to develop new visual instruments, which allow him to perform live with the music. The visual worlds created in this way are far removed from any representation but bring the medium itself to dream. Colors, shapes and movements draw imaginary spaces that Heckmann explores and documents with virtuosity. The artwork is created in the same moment in which it is viewed.
